Relief, more patient information, scientifically supervised
Time is scarce and valuable for medical professionals. Patients, especially those with chronic diseases, such as chronic heart failure, should be cared for comprehensively. The innovative digital application (app) “DoctorME” is being developed to offer patients personalized heart failure therapy. DoctorME is an internet-based application that asks patients about their wellbeing, symptoms and vital signs on a regular basis and when needed.
Based on the input of patient status variables, plus additional clinical data, such as echocardiography and laboratory results, DoctorME provides individualized therapy recommendations, which during the trial period, you as a doctor approve. In the future, this data will be automatically passed on to your patients. This will save time for you and your team, you will also receive clear and concise therapy-relevant data. |
The development of DoctorME is funded by the European Union as part of the PASSION-HF project where medical and technology experts work closely together. The PASSION-HF concept is evidence-based and follows current European Society of Cardiology (ESC) clinical guidelines for the treatment of patients with heart failure.
Easy to use, better adherence
Your access to DoctorME will be via an online patient record that contains all relevant patient information, e.g. medication, comorbidities and patient data. Based on patient-specific data, algorithms determine therapy recommendations. Stored algorithms are based on the current ESC guidelines for heart failure treatment. In addition, DoctorME will use machine learning to ensure needs-based and individualised treatment. DoctorME is currently being tested in a clinical trial where all DoctorME recommendations are reviewed by study physicians before being given to patients.
The recommended therapy has an additional aim of motivating the patients to engage and self-manage and to increase treatment adherence. The app is programmed to be user-friendly. Through the playful use of learning units and serious gaming patients can learn a lot about their disease. |
